Reports To: Regional Operations Director

Responsible for all day to day management of facility operations.  Provide leadership to operations to meet customer service and quality.  Responsible for achieving established performance metrics for production efficiency, cost, and safety.

Job Description


  • Manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities
  • Oversee manufacturing supervisors and employees to ensure proper job scheduling and adequate plant staffing
  • Coordinate all plant activities to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain organizational and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure quality and consistency of product, improve efficiencies, and control/reduce waste and associated costs throughout plant operations
  • Review and analyze weekly production reports, address any production related issues, manage monthly inventory, and third-party audits
  • Monitor, and manage sizeable financial budgets and direct all plant purchasing
  • Communicate, incorporate, and manage all corporate goals
  • Manage client relationships by phone, in person, in writing and investigate and resolve customer questions, problems, or complaints
  • Provide dynamic leadership to build, motivate, train, and lead a high performing team
  • Ensure the growth of the business and be committed to the company’s success


  • Have 5-10 years plant management/operations experience, preferably in the blow-molded container or food packaging industries
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or have comparable professional experience
  • Have demonstrated experience with workflow management, systems management, waste reduction and operational efficiency. LEAN or Six Sigma manufacturing experience a plus
  • Have outstanding multi-tasking, organizational, and decision-making skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain quality customer relationships
  • Have a strong sense of urgency with a “get the job done” attitude
  • Be a “hands on” manager who is willing to roll up sleeves and assist team on an as needed basis
